from closed guard trap opponents right arm with your left arm and put your left knee on hip and squeeze knee to lock the arm...put right foot on hip and scoot out hips to left...straighten left leg and slam to floor while cupping elbow...make s with legs and grab back of opponent and lift body up

Self Defense
to hands on kneck in front...drop in base and step back and circle head
hands on kneck from behind...swim arms up and grab both hands..pick on hand with two hands and do a wrist lock by spinning around and underneath

if grabs lapel high, grab hand and circle underneath his arm to his back for shoulder lock

if he grabs lapel low grab and and do an armlock by stepping in wards and around

if he grabs shoulder in a big shoulder and lock his arm for an armlock and you can place foot in front of him.

Knee on belly...knee on sturnum and with direct pressure downward...extend hips outward...grips not that important...gribs on close collar and pants at hip.

If you are on his right side with your right kneee on stomach...first...right hand palm up like typical choke bone on kneck...next slide right knee to his right shoulder...then use your left hand palm down. drive right elbow down and sprawl and twist around his head

Arm bar
If he opens his left arm slide hand through palm up, then pull up on tricep using opponents body as a fulcrum, then swing around for the arm bar

Pummeling to single leg takedown...
As you pummel, step out to his right and make a t-shape between you and opponent. Lower level and grab leg with left arm and wrap around leg like key-lock grip as you move him forward

While you are mounted on top of opponent and he reaches across your body you can use your chest to smash his elbow across his body...come around the back of his head and hold his wrist. This is called a twister...you can push his elbow down and make triple threat and go for arm-bar

Wrist lock from closed guard..
If opponent is in your closed guard and he grabs your sleeve...turn and cup his hand with your fingers turning out away from you over his knuckles. Swing your other arm around like a key lock/figure 4. Pull him in with your legs and crunch your boddy upwards for submission.

3-25-11

One Legged X guard.
While opponent is standing and you are sitting, you can pull guard by grabbing opponent's right leg the way you would for deep half guard, however with your left foot in front of his foot. Pull in and raise your left foot and bring in your right knee, this will cause his right leg to fall to your left armpit and you wrap your left leg around his leg and place on his right hip while the other leg hugs his knee. Lock down his ankle with your arm. To sweep throw your knees towards his right side.

Triangle Choke from open guard.
Once opponent goes to grab your knees, cross grip his wrist and grab elbow...place foot on hip. If he tries to make grips on your other leg, kick out and twist and place foot on bicep, like spider guard. The left foot that is on hip is used to raise hips so that you throw your right leg right over the neck of opponet and lock legs while pulling right arm accross. PUll down on head to make tighter and pull ankle for tight figure four lock, pinch knees together.

Triangle choke escape.
The moment he pulls you in and tries to set up choke, bull your neck and raise your shoulder. Grab leg with your right arm. Then Post left hand and jump up into base and place your right leg in between but of opponet. Use left arm to push head through, while using the right leg to post off.

High Guard..
When opponnent is in your closed guard...you can set up an armbar from the high guard...use your left hand and push elbow acroos your body and pull head down with your right hand...put your left foot on hip and turn your body...to right and throw right leg high up on back...then lock your feet and put your left leg on top of shoulder...for a high guard lock...you can know look to make the tap or your can push head through for arm bar...or you can even crank arm to the left for a key lock....

if you get caught in the high guard you can clasp your hands together or grab both lapels and pull yourself through like putting on a tight shirt....if you get both shoulders locked together you can get up in a sprawl and grab the back of the head and pull through...if you have a high guard lock you can post your knee against the hip as leverage...

No Gi

If opponnet tries to flatten you out by underhooking your arm as he is in your open guard you can...put your foot on his knee or hip. Other leg squeezing his knee. If he pulls out his arm...one direction allows for an arm-drag as it passes in front of you by pulling the tricep and then taking the back. If he pulls out with elbow in other direction you have a tap for a shoulder lock there by lifting elbow straight up.
